Background of Product Development

  • Structural characteristics of ships that make natural ventilation difficult

    "The central air conditioning system on ships operates using an internal circulation method, where the ventilation ducts in all cabins are connected to the supply ducts. If a respiratory virus, such as COVID-19, breaks out in one cabin, contaminated air can easily spread to other cabins through the air conditioning system, potentially leading to mass infections."

  • Condition of contamination in the air circulation duct diffuser

    Upon checking the air circulation duct diffusers on actual ships, it was found that most vessels are severely contaminated, and it is common to see crew members temporarily blocking them with materials such as non-woven fabric, boxes, and tape.

  • Incoming air is purified through direct contact sterilization
  • UV-C lamp and double filter (Carbon filter + HEPA filter) purify viruses, bacteria, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), fine dust, etc. through three-step sterilization method.
