The Startup Support Center at Busan National University, conducting the Entrepreneurial University Project, announced on the 9th that it held the '2024 Busan Venture Startup Festival' on the 6th to share achievements throughout 2024 and promote entrepreneurial culture together with organizations running startup support programs and startup companies.

The event was organized through collaboration among the Busan Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Busan National University, Dong-A University, and the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center, which oversee the Entrepreneurial University Project and the preliminary/early startup package projects. The festival aimed to discover outstanding local startups, share successful cases, foster an entrepreneurial culture, and build startup networks to revitalize the regional startup ecosystem.

At the event, seven outstanding local startups and seven contributors were commended and encouraged for their efforts in fostering entrepreneurial culture. Among the awardees, three beneficiary companies from Busan National University’s Startup Support Center were recognized: ENFAC KOREA received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award for contributing to the development of the local shipbuilding marine equipment industry and job creation; Daehahydraulic received the Busan Technopark Director’s Award; and Farm Saga received the Busan Design Promotion Institute Director’s Award.

In the contributor category, three senior managers from Busan National University Startup Support Center were honored: Song Yi Lim (Busan Mayor’s Award), Jooyoung Yoon (Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center Director’s Award), and Sangyoung Park (Busan Economic Promotion Agency Director’s Award) for their dedication to promoting regional startup activities.
